Bearing heating is a common abnormal situation during equipment operation. If not dealt with in a timely manner, it may lead to loss of lubricating grease, increased noise, and in severe cases, even cause locking or equipment damage. In response to this issue, the NKFB technical team has summarized four core troubleshooting steps to help you quickly identify the cause and solve the problem.
1、 Step 1: Touch (temperature monitoring)
Operation: During the initial operation of the equipment, it is recommended to check the temperature every 1-2 hours.
Reference standard: After normal operation, the bearing temperature should tend to stabilize.
It is recommended to control the temperature of rolling bearings below 90 ℃.
It is recommended to control the temperature of sliding bearings below 80 ℃.
Attention: If the temperature continues to rise or exceeds the above range, it is recommended to stop the machine for inspection in a timely manner.
2、 Step 2: Check (common cause analysis)
Bearing heating is usually related to the following four factors, please investigate them one by one:
Lubrication factors:
Inappropriate dosage: Too much grease can generate stirring heat, while too little can lead to insufficient lubrication.
Oil problem: Impurities are mixed in the oil or it has deteriorated.
Installation factors:
Small clearance: The inner ring of the bearing is too tight during installation, resulting in insufficient internal clearance.
Coaxiality deviation: The shaft is not concentric with the bearing seat, or there is bending deformation of the shaft.
Sealing factor:
The installation of the sealing ring is skewed or experiences abnormal friction with the shaft.
Component factors:
Impurities enter the interior of the bearing, or damage occurs to the cage and rolling elements.
3、 Step 3: Treatment (Targeted Treatment Plan)
Lubrication adjustment: Clean the bearings and housing, replace the lubricating grease (oil) that is suitable for the working conditions, and control the filling amount reasonably (generally recommended to fill 1/3-1/2 of the bearing space).
Installation correction: Check the bearing clearance, readjust the installation position, and ensure that the coaxiality meets the requirements.
Sealing treatment: Reinstall the seal or replace it with a reliable sealing bearing.
Component replacement: If the component is damaged, it is recommended to replace it with a new one in a timely manner.
